Christmas FunPosted on Dec. 18, 2009 at 6:17 PM - Post CommentDespite Grady having a cold for the past week and a half (and having some very moody behavior to go along with it) we have managed to fit in quite a bit of Christmas fun. It all began with decorating his playroom Christmas tree, which I love almost as much as our real tree downstairs. It's white and sparkly and color-coordinated. What's not to love? Then we went downtown for Greenville's Festival of Trees, which we had never really seen before. It was quite impressive - lots of amazing trees to check out. Grady trying to ride off with a prop from one of the trees He loved the candy themed tree!
A little video clip of his mischief... Next, we needed to pick out a real tree for our house... Our tree! Grady was so funny too because once we found our tree, he ran over to the man that worked there and said "Excuse me sir, we would like that tree over there." How polite. He also kept picking up the tree clippings off the ground, proudly presenting them to the people that worked there, and saying "LOOK!" like it was the most exciting thing ever. But I'm pretty sure they had seen tree clippings before. The next day we decorated a gingerbread house, which was really fun. Grady ate about 1 in 10 pieces of candy, which shows much restraint on his part, I think. I was so good too and actually just let him do most of it. Didn't it come out cute? Finally we decorated our tree this week. This was Grady's first time being involved with that, and he loved every minute. He was so careful, and when there was a delicate one, he would actually say "I think you should do this one - I'll just watch". He never broke any, but Eric and I each broke one - go figure. Oh, and check his booty - now that he wears underwear it is almost non-existent Almost done! The tree in all its glory! This gives the effect of the lights And our mantel
One more cute video - Grady (and us) singing "Jingle Bells" in the car on the way home from getting our tree... Lots more Christmas fun to come! |
