Grady drives a racecar, goes shopping, and visits a farm

I took Grady to the brand new Children's Museum of the Upstate a few days ago, and we had a fabulous time!   It is a beautiful facility - totally top-notch.  There were a lot of cool things I had never seen before.

3-D sensory wall - there were insect sounds coming out of little speakers, and there were all sorts of bug mosaics - Grady was fascinated with it

In the racecar exhibit - you could really "drive" them - they were hooked up to a video game, but he was too small to reach the pedals, of course

putting gas in the car

The grocery store - this was incredible!  They had all the sections - like a bakery, a meat department, etc.  And you could pretend to work in each area too - like there were pretend cakes that you could design and build at the bakery - with plastic frosting - so funny!

Can you tell he loves strawberries?

This cracked me up - he's buying himself diapers

The teddy bear hospital - another favorite.  He was so gentle and sweet with those teddy bears.  It just melts my heart.

giving shots and telling him "it's only going to hurt a little"

brushing the giant teeth - it was actually an interactive game - the thing had sensors and would tell you how well you brushed

The recycling truck - OH MY GOODNESS!  You don't understand how my child is obsessed with recycling.  He goes with Eric every week to bring it and he loves to tell me what needs to be recycled.  He LOVED this!  You could actually sort the trash!

The construction area:

The farm - just for kids under 5

That's it - it was a great place, and I am so excited to take him back.  We didn't even get to see everything.

We're off to Hilton Head for a week at the beach!  Be back next week with pictures of G enjoying the sun and sand!
