Grady's funny commentsPosted on Jan. 10, 2009 at 6:27 PM - Post CommentI will be posting pictures from "Gaga" and Grandpa Schmidt's visit soon, but since Grady has been saying some very funny and cute stuff lately, I thought I better record a few things here. *Yesterday we went to the post office and the man at the counter had dreadlocks. When we got home, Grady told me that the man had "pretty hair". *Gaga and Grandpa got Grady a DVD for Christmas, called "Elmo Loves the Earth". It's all about recycling. I thought it might be a little old for him still, but Grady loves it and wants to watch it again and again. He asks for the "earth one". Also, he now knows all about recycling. Today he saw some of our broken down boxes and said "recycling!" *Yesterday I came in to get him after his nap and just picked him up out of the crib and held him in the chair. He was being so snuggly and cute. I was telling him how much I loved him and how he was smart and funny and so sweet. So he says to me "Mama proud of me". I loved that and told him I was proud of him for all sorts of things. *He was playing with his new rolling suitcase and rolled it out the playroom door. He knows that he is generally supposed to keep toys in the playroom. When I asked where he was taking it, he said "Massachusetts in there" and pointed to his room. Apparently he was pretending that he was going to Massachusetts to visit Nana and Papa. Also, any time we see a plane and I ask him where he thinks it is going, he says "Massachusetts!" *If I go into his room to fold laundry or something while he is playing in his playroom next door, he will often come and get me, grab my hand, and lead me back to the playroom, while saying "I forgot my Momma!" *Lately he will refer to me as "My Mommy" a lot. Sometimes he will even say "I love my Mommy" or "I hug my Mama" *He tells us that he NEEDS things now, which is so funny. Sometimes he will do it with sweets, like "I NEED that cookie!", often follwed up with "I be needing that!" *He is very interested in discussing who is a boy and who is a girl. We often play the game where I name people and he says "boy" or "girl". He has never been wrong, which I am sure makes you all happy since all of you are some of the people we discuss ;) That's it for now but I hope to update with more of Grady's funny comments, now that he is talking up a storm. I want to remember as much of this as possible. It is such a cute age. |
