Mr. PersonalityPosted on Jul. 29, 2008 at 1:48 PM - Post CommentPoor Grady has been sick for the last several days with another bout of croup. So it has not been very fun times around here. However, before he got sick I took several cute videos and some pictures of him being his hammy self. Lately he has been stringing short sentences together and adding new little phrases all the time. For example, when Eric puts bubbles in his tub at night, he says "bubbles everywhere!" which sounds really cute (it's in the video below). He also says "I love you Mama" when I leave the room at night. He has also been really loving books and will sit and "read" them for long periods of time. First he often says "I read", then goes over to the big brown rocker in his room with a book. Then he will sit there, flipping pages and reciting any of the words he remembers from that story. Here is an example of the great sense of humor that my child already has - a conversation from yesterday: Grady (out of nowhere): I Party! Mama: Really? What sorts of things are at a party? Grady: Ladies! Hi Ladies! Where does he get this stuff? On to some pictures and video...
At the park with one of his friends last week:
playing in the pool (always hard to capture since he is wet and grabbing the camera usually):
Speaking of the pool, he now knows where we keep the swim diapers. He will pull one out, try to put it on himself, and say "pool diaper" when he wants to go to the pool. Playing with his kitchen, which he loves. He often says "I cook!" and then we mix something up together. His vocabulary has also really grown by playing with it. He has learned the name of lots more foods and utensils that way.
These are a bit backlit, but it shows how he will also sit and read on his little bench. He actually likes to sit now - who would have ever guessed?
Here are a few really fun videos. First, the "bubbles everywhere" video:
And just Grady being his crazy self. He likes to do "high" and "low" and demonstrate, but he never does it the same on camera, of course. |
