ABCs and 123sPosted on Jun. 20, 2008 at 6:23 PM - Post CommentSo what's new in Grady's World? Lately he has been getting really good at COUNTING! Yes, I cannot believe that my 18-month-old can count to ten, but I have seen it with my own eyes many times. He mostly does it when walking up the stairs. Sometimes he gets stuck on a number, and I need to give it to him, but he does a pretty good job on his own. The other thing he has been doing is that when he sees writing he will say "ABC" over and over. He has also been SO SO lovey lately. He is giving out the hugs and kisses like crazy! In Gymboree last week he went around the circle and hugged and kissed EVERY SINGLE baby and mom there. He finally has started liking ride-on toys more. I guess now that he knows he can run if he wants to it is OK to NOT run sometimes too. Here he is on his bouncy zebra:
Playing in the fountain with Dada on Father's Day:
playing with the train set at the book store:
Grady had his first trip to the water park yesterday! We rode on the lazy river, splashed in the little kid area, and rode down a water slide together! Here he is after he dried off:
These are just some of him playing around in the front yard this morning:
We finally went on Monday (a couple weeks late) for Grady's 18 month well baby visit. It went well - he had 1 shot that he took like a champ. His weight was up to 24 pounds, 6 ounces (30th %) and his height was 33.5 inches (85th %). His head measured right at 50th%. So he is still quite tall and a bit thin, which seems perfect to me! He was far exceeding all the milestones the doctor likes to see and she even commented on how great his speech is. It helped that I taight him to say "hi doctor!" when she came in - so funny. So that's it for now, but I will be uploading a few little video clips soon. |
