Hippity Hoppity Happy Easter DayPosted on Mar. 25, 2008 at 3:19 PM - Post CommentGrady had a great Easter weekend. Grandma and Grandpa Schmidt came to visit us in South Carolina for the first time, the weather was beautiful, and we had lots of fun. First, here are some pictures from last week. Hanging out with a baby lady at Gymboree: ![]() Playing with the phone - a favorite pastime:

Grady was really good at dinner. We ate outside, overlooking the falls downtown. It was a gorgeous evening and we had fun celebrating "Dada's" birthday, which is next weekend. The next day was Easter. Grady got a nice big basket from the bunny (not a surprise after that visit with him last week) and some gifts from Grandma and Pa Schmidt:
He loves this bunny that sings and dances.
He's also obsessed with the bubbles and says "bubbles" every time he sees them:
clapping along:
In his Easter duds:
Then we headed out for our egg hunt. Grady didn't quite get the hang of it. Once he realized there was "candy" (fruit chews) inside the eggs, he would pick one up, open it, eat all the candy, and only then move on to look for another egg. When we went out there he had to ride his Kawasaki first.
Found one!!!
After Grady's nap we had brunch. Here we are with the spread:
Then we all headed to the zoo.
Checking out the giant pig at the farm exhibit:
So what else is new with Grady? Well, as you can see from the video and pictures, he is a very happy and smiley baby - full of excitement, curiousity, and energy to explore his world. He is also extremely affectionate. I do mean EXTREMELY. He has been hugging other babies for some time now, but it has gotten more and more frequent. This weekend, on our trip to the zoo, he met a baby girl that he took a liking to, went over to her with a huge smile on his face, and hugged her again and again. Her parents could not believe it - they were pulling out cameras and phones to take pictures. He is most affectionate with "Mama" and "Dada" though - stopping to play every once and a while to just come give us a hug. The past few days I have also gotten quite a few kisses. He puckers, grabs my head, and just plants one on my lips. I don't think there could be any greater joy in the world! |
