Becoming a baby-manPosted on Dec. 20, 2007 at 6:48 PM - Post CommentLittle Grady is becoming a little man more and more each day. Not only does his personality increasingly show itself, but he picks up new skills every day. It's funny because I really don't push him to do little "tricks" like some parents do, but he seems to teach them to himself. Recently he is doing "SO BIG" a lot, waving, giving high fives, blowing kisses, and giving nice hugs. He has also started feeding himself with a spoon. It's really funny because he seems to understand that getting the food onto the spoon is still too tricky for him, so he hands me the spoon, I hand it back, and he carefully eats the food with the spoon (never flipping it upside down or anything). He also seems to be starting to talk, though many of the words are not very clear, of course. I am pretty sure he says "duck", "cat", and "up". And he says LOTS of "MAMA" and "DADA". He also figured out how to the turn the Christmas tree lights on and off. There is a button on the cord, and he will slyly step on it, turning the lights on, since he knows he isn't supposed to touch it. He definitely knows "head" and "nose" and "ear". He will usually point to that part when you ask him where it is. Now for some pictures...
His hair is so thick now - here he is with a mohawk in the tub:
This is such a Grady face - mischievous and super happy:

That's it for now, though I may add a few videos. Grady has been sleeping very well lately (presumably being good so Santa comes) which has been VERY nice. He's about to get his 4th molar and will hopefully get a break after that! Stay tuned for Christmas pictures! |
