Grandma and Great-Grandma take care of Grady

This past weekend Eric and I had to go out of town for Eric's brother's wedding.  It was not really possible to bring the little man, so Grandma Conte and Great Grandma Pat came down to Virginia to stay with him.  The good side is that he did so well and had so much fun with them.  The bad side is that we both (OK - I was worse) missed him INCREDIBLY.  But I survived and am here to write this, so I guess that is pretty good.

They had a lot of fun and took him out a bunch - to dinner twice, to the Old City Cemetary (to the Butterfly Garden and Frog Pond), to the Farmer's Market, and to the pool.

First, a few tubby pictures:

Here he is at dinner on Thursday night:

Pictures from the Cemetary and Butterfly Garden.  Apparently there were frogs there and when on "ribbited" and then Grandma "ribbited" after, he giggled like crazy.  I'm so sad I missed that!

How mischievous does he look?

At the Farmer's Market - he loved the fountain, apparently:

And some videos - some were from before we left:

Grady also went to the doctor this week.  He did well with his shots - thankfully they are the last for about a year.  He also has gotten so big!  He weighs 19 pounds (25-50th%) and is 29 inches in length (90-95th%).  So it looks like he is still destined to become a little basketball player!

This week he has been feeding himself Cheerios, watermelon chunks, and avocado, all for the first time.  He has also been getting SO CLOSE to crawling - moving his litttle knees forward but not getting the arms going quite right.  He is pulling up on us, so I am sure he will be pulling up on furniture soon.  Where has me tiny little baby gone?  He is already becoming a big kid.  I can't believe it!  We love him more than ever, and he is more fun than ever before, but I wish it didn't go by so fast.
