All is well in Grady LandPosted on Jun. 8, 2007 at 6:18 PM - Post CommentWell we were having some troubles with Grady's sleep for a few weeks (after being spoiled by MANY weeks of him sleeping through the night). So we decided to get a book to help us out, and it is working wonders. Grady is learning how to put himself to sleep, so we don't need to rock him anymore at bedtime. We do a nice bedtime routine, lay him in his crib, he cries a bit (though it has been less and less) while we sit in his room, and then he goes to sleep and sleeps through the night. We have even heard him wake up in the middle of the night, move around and make a few sounds, and then resettle himself. This is very good news! And his naps seem to be getting better naturally too. He is starting to have a long-ish nap each morning and then two shorter ones in the afternoon.
He also had his professional photos done last Friday, and he was in such a great mood. We got many great shots. I'll scan and post some once we get them.
We also started a mom and baby stroller class last week, which was lots of fun and a great workout (for me, not him). I am excited about doing that with him, and we may do a swim class this summer too!
Here he is in the new outfit Grandma Schmidt got him (showing off his two teeth too!).
And in an outfit from Grandma Conte (we had a weirdly chilly day last weekend):

This week I took him to the big neighborhood pool and put him in his baby pool. He loved both:
Here he is in another new outfit, just hamming it up:
