Fun Times in Massachusetts

We headed up to Massachusetts on Tuesday, April 3.  Grady did well on the drive, sleeping about half the time.  When we got to Grandma Conte's house, she had cookies baking in the oven and a big surprise.  Not only had she borrowed a swing and Exersaucer for Grady to use while he was there, but she set up a whole nursery for him!  It was so cute, complete with crib, cute animal bedding (thanks Lynn!), and a big "G" on the wall (Gennaro said it was for him, but I don't think so).  It was so sweet and I know Grady loved it because he slept very well the whole time we were there.

On Wendesday we went to the art museum.  Grady did a great job.  He napped for a bit, and then he enjoyed some modern art and statues.  He even got a little treat at the gift shop - a childrens book of Van Gogh paintings and a Van Gogh finger puppet - every baby needs one of those!

On Thursday Grady went to visit Grandma at work.  He had a great time and was very social, smiling at all of the ladies there.  He's such a flirt!

On Friday we took Grady to lunch at Chilis where he was once again a big flirt.  The hostess loved him and he just sat there smiling and batting his eyelashes at her.  I think she wanted to take him home.

Friday afternoon, after Grandma came home, she played with Grady for a bit:

Saturday was Grady's big party, and everything was great.  We had very good food, thanks to Papa Gino.  And Grady got to meet lots of new people.  I think one of his very favorite new people was Natalie, Kevin and Ally's baby.  He was so interested in her and even smiling and reaching for her.  She played a litte "hard to get" until right before they left when she gave him a few smiles.  I hope they can get together again when we go back up to visit.

That evening Grady was in a great mood before his tub so we decided to roll him onto his belly and let him play a bit.  Gotta love naked baby pictures.  These are coming out when Grady's first girlfriend comes to visit.
