Learning to sit and packing on the pounds!Posted on Mar. 6, 2007 at 6:22 PM - Post CommentI took Grady to the doctor today for a weigh-in and he is up to 11 pounds, 4 ounces! That is almost an ounce per day since his last visit, which is really good! And he is quite long, which means even though he is not very chubby, he is starting to outgrow his 0-3 month clothes. Most have become too short now. Maybe he has a career as a basketball player in his future?
He has still been sleeping great every night - straight through from about 7:30PM-6:30AM - you could just about set a clock by it! Please keep that up Grady! Naps are a different story - he just does not want to stop exploring the world. He is so alert that I think he just cannot shut down to go to sleep unless it is dark. It is getting somewhat better, but it is not as easy as the nighttime.
Grady is starting to sit up in his little "Bumbo" chair (pictures below). He holds his head steady and usually talks while he is in it, which is very funny. He has also been blabbing again. He had a quiet few days, but today he was really in the mood to chat! He squeals now also. And he is grabbing with two hands now, although the main thing he wants to do with any toy is put it in his mouth.
Since he loves the tub:
look at those chubby thighs!
He doesn't even cry when he gets out now!
He apparently adores himself - he loves to stare into the mirror:
Daddy was helping him stand - he puts his weight on his legs for a couple seconds:
He has a cute butt:
Close-up shots while he was laying with Daddy:
holding his monkey with two hands:
Curious George made his way into his crib to visit:
Just looking chubby:
reading with dad:
More tub time, another day:
And more reading with dad:
playing with Momma:
What did you say?
Looking fat and happy:
Sitting in his little seat:
He loves it!
Videos are coming!
