...and the long overdue videosPosted on Jan. 31, 2010 at 4:19 PM - 0 Comments - Post Comment - LinkI figured that before we head off to Puerto Rico I should get all caught up on the December/January pictures and videos. First, a few from Christmas... Grady opening his play castle from Grammy Nancy
Laughing at the leopard, a few days before Christmas
Making pasta with Papa and Nana
Opening a fire station from Grampy Bruce and "Yummy Pat"
Rocking out on his new electric guitar - his moves have gotten even crazier in the past month
Christmas Day 2009 - long overdue!Posted on Jan. 21, 2010 at 5:56 PM - 0 Comments - Post Comment - LinkI am sorry for the delay in getting this post up. Somehow I totally forgot to actually finish my Christmas recap! Grady was in a great mood all day on Christmas and even took a great nap - go figure! He also slept in later than anyone else in the house that morning - until a bit after 8. We were so excited that we ran right in to get him. A visit with "Baby Bean"Posted on Jan. 19, 2010 at 2:03 PM - 0 Comments - Post Comment - LinkI had my "big" ultrasound this morning, and everything went well! It is so nice to have such an uneventful pregnancy. I have basically been having no symptoms (other than a round belly and lots of kicking!) lately. We got to see lots of baby, of course, and every single thing was perfect. The u/s tech was so nice - she just kept saying how "beautiful" every little thing was. His head is so low down, and he was pretty chill in there - not moving a ton. What a difference from Grady who was bouncing around in there for all 3 ultrasounds! This guy has been just relaxing or sleeping in all 3. Maybe he will be a more mellow kid ;) So because of the way he was positioned and because he wasn't moving a lot, she couldn't see all of the parts of the brain that she needed to check. So they made me go drink a Coke and come back in to the u/s room, in hopes that would get the little guy moving. Well he did turn, they saw what they needed, and I got some better face shots. Big Bro Grady came along and was so very excited. He was yelling "Baby! Baby!" and jumping up and down. Grady's name for the baby is "Baby Bean", so that is basically how we have been referring to him as well. I am buying the nursery furniture this week and the bedding has been ordered and is on its way! Now if we could just figure out a name... Some pictures of the Bean... Bouncy Fun and a Sudsy TubPosted on Jan. 14, 2010 at 3:40 PM - 0 Comments - Post Comment - LinkI haven't been taking too many pictures in the past couple weeks since I was burnt out on the camera after Christmas. But last weekend I did get a couple cute ones of G playing at Monkey Joes and enjoying the birthday party we went to. He also took his tub in our huge bathtub and SO enjoyed that! He played in the toddler area with the inflatable animals for like an hour! Crowding onto the throne where the birthday girl sat (and she isn't even in the picture!) Tubby time in the big tub! The jets make the bubbles crazy! If You Take a Grady to the Movies...Posted on Jan. 13, 2010 at 6:25 PM - 0 Comments - Post Comment - Link... he will love it! I brought Grady to his very first movie in a theater today! We saw "The Princess and the Frog", and he did great! He sat and watched the whole thing SO intently and has been talking about it ever since. I also liked it way more than I thought I would. He woke up from his nap just in time, so I sped over to the theater and we got in there just as previews were starting. It was definitely a good thing to do on a day when both of us are a little sick with colds. And now I know that I can always bring him to a movie on a rainy day! Granted, there aren't too many movies he would like, but I am excited that it is a possibility!
